Baby Savvy
For my final major project, I wanted to tackle the problem all parents have when shopping for baby safety products, 'Where to start.' My brief is 'To design a family friendly retail experience to help parents become baby safety experts.'
My concept is 'Play and Display.' The whole idea behind the design is to create a retail space that you will enjoy just as much as your kids!
This is my zonal planning in its early stages, before it was transferred onto a plan. The different colours represent different sectors of the design with links showing the way-finding around the space.
Here is some research I did into the benefits of play in adults.
To bring interactivity into my retail design, I did a study into Polygon Lights. The lights connect together with as few or as little as desired and provide light to the space around you by interacting with the tiles.
